Colorimetry is the set of techniques that enables to define and compare colours. The devices that make up the graphic chain (camera, scanner, projector, screen, printer) interpret colours differently. They must undergo a calibration from shooting to printing to allow consistency. Calibration of a device consists of to know how it interprets and restores the colours. All the data resulting from this calculation will contribute to create what is called an ICC profile.
